Well, actually, the app is for JazzFest in its entirety, not just for food. You can get the full schedule of acts, band bios, a map, etc. A fine, basic app for the three-day event.
But the most handy for me is going to be the ‘Vendors’ section. It has a list of all the vendors, sorted by category and alphabetically. Click on a vendor, like Nick’s Gyros above, and you get a list of what they will be serving and where they are located pops up. Awesome!
Though part of the fun is walking the festival grounds and seeing the food being served and deciding what to try, I think a little planning ahead isn’t a bad thing.
First on my list is going to be the Brisket Tacos at Snortz Barbeque (awesome name, btw), then maybe some Sweet Potato Fries at 99 Potatoes. For a start, of course! The app is free to download, and available on both iPhone and Android devices.
See anything you’re looking forward to? I mean, other than seeing Sheryl Crow…for FREE. See you out there!
