With the pheasant season opener just a few days away, maybe some of you procrastinators are going to make a last-minute trek to Cabela’s. Or maybe you’ll be out that way hunting. Maybe it’s a trip to the Corn Palace this coming basketball season.
Whatever the reason, take a little extra time and check out Napoli’s Italian Restaurant. It’s worth a try.
A friend took me and another friend there last week on one such Cabela’s trip. We ordered a TON of food, and I can recommend the Nick’s Special, a spicy pasta dish with chicken, a mix of marinara and Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Yum. Also good: the bread was delicious and the Caprese salad solid and huge.
I’d pass on the calamari, the meatball sandwich and even though it looks crazy-good, the tiramisu. It was watery/soggy on the bottom and sort of bland. No great coffee or chocolate flavors.
Also, they have no beer/wine license so you won’t be having a nice glass of red with that pasta.
Really a mixed bag, but the pasta was worthwhile for sure.
